Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using RavennaSignUp.org. By using the service to create or manage an event or submit a signup, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

About the service

RavennaSignUp.org is a free, independently maintained tool for coordinating community events, volunteer opportunities, meals, and other signup needs. RavennaSignUp.org is an independently maintained resource and is not an official, Church-sponsored website.

The website helps organizers coordinate participation. Event organizers are responsible for their event details, instructions, supervision, and arrangements. A signup is an expression of your intention to help; it does not guarantee that an event will take place or that a particular opportunity will remain available.

Using signups responsibly

Provide accurate information that you are entitled to share. Sign up only for commitments you intend to fulfill, and use your private management link or contact your organizer if your plans change. Do not impersonate another person or submit their contact information without permission.

Keep your management link private. Anyone who has it can review or change your entry. Share event links only with the intended community, and do not include confidential personal information in event titles, descriptions, or instructions.

Organizer access and responsibilities

Organizers must sign in with Google and receive separate approval from a site administrator. Google sign-in alone does not grant organizer access. Use only the organizations and participant records you are authorized to manage.

Use participant information solely to coordinate the relevant signup. Do not sell it, use it for marketing, publish participant identities, or keep separate contact lists for unrelated purposes. Protect any information you access and delete any copies you create when they are no longer needed, no later than 10 days after the event ends.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful activity, harassment, discrimination prohibited by law, spam, deceptive signups, or content that violates another person's rights. Do not attempt to bypass access controls, obtain another participant's private information, disrupt the service, or fill spaces through automated or abusive submissions.

Do not import Church membership-directory information or submit membership record numbers, confidential Church records, counseling information, welfare information, or other sensitive personal records. This service is for voluntary event coordination.

Privacy and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains the information collected, who can access it, and how it is removed. Participants do not need accounts. Name and consent are required for a signup; email and phone are optional.

If you provide an email address, it may be used for signup confirmations, cancellations, and coordination updates. Reminder emails are a separate opt-in choice. You can change your reminder preference using your private management link. Email delivery is not guaranteed; check event details and contact your organizer when necessary.

Participant information and management links are removed from the application 10 days after the event ends, or earlier when an entry is deleted. Backup limitations are described in the Privacy Policy. Copies already delivered to an email recipient are outside the application's control.

Availability and changes

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Maintenance, technical problems, or changes to the service may interrupt access or delay messages. It is not an emergency communication system. Organizers should have another way to communicate urgent changes.

We may remove inappropriate content, restrict access that violates these terms, or suspend the service to protect participants or address operational problems. These terms may be updated by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Material changes will be identified on this page.

Limits and your rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free information, or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Questions or concerns

Contact the organizer who shared your event link about event changes, signup corrections, or privacy concerns. Ask that organizer to connect you with the site administrator for questions about the service or these terms. Google sign-in questions may also be directed to the support contact shown on the Google consent screen.
